Sabah Hospitality Fiesta 2023

The 23rd Sabah Hospitality Fiesta 2023 registration is now open for submissions!

Sabah Hospitality Fiesta is a career-changing opportunity for our competing participants from all over Malaysia and our neighboring Asian countries. Featuring 26 classes for both the professional and apprentice categories, the competition is open for registration early bird rates until the end of August 2023. Sabah Hospitality Fiesta (SHF) was initiated by ATI College in 1996 for the culinary and hospitality students of ATI College. In 2006, Malaysia Association of Hotels, Sabah and Labuan Chapter, officially joined Sabah Hospitality Fiesta.

The aim of the event is to create an enthusiastic spirit of competition among the hospitality players to showcase their talents in their respective fields. The competition not only provides a platform for professionals to showcase their skills but also offers networking opportunities and exposure to industry experts and potential employers. Winners are awarded prizes, certificates, and recognition for their achievements. The Sabah Hospitality Fiesta competition encompasses different categories, allowing participants to demonstrate their expertise in their respective fields.

These categories may include: Culinary Competition, Chefs and culinary enthusiasts compete to create innovative and delicious dishes using local ingredients and traditional recipes. Judges assess the taste, presentation, and technique of the participants' creations. Barista Challenge Baristas from different establishments showcase their coffee-making skills, creativity in latte art, and knowledge of different coffee varieties.

They are evaluated based on the taste, texture, and presentation of their coffee beverages. Bartender Flair Bartenders display their flair and expertise in crafting unique cocktails. They experiment with flavours, techniques, and presentation to create visually appealing and flavorful drinks. The judges assess the taste, balance, and overall presentation of the cocktails. Housekeeping staff demonstrates their speed, efficiency, and attention to detail in various tasks, such as bed-making, towel folding, and room cleaning. They are evaluated based on their speed, accuracy, and overall presentation. These competitions not only provide a platform for professionals to showcase their talents, but also foster healthy competition, encourage innovation, and promote the growth of the hospitality industry in Sabah.
